Urinary tract infections are especially common among older adults, regardless of gender. The first outward sign of a UTI is dementia. So if your relative who is normally lucid starts to ramble more than usual, that could be it. I and multiple friends all learned this the hard way. Now you don't have to.

Yes, this! And a UTI or other infection in older adults can often occur without a fever.
