Is there a Linux media player that will save your place in a playlist if you switch to another playlist (or station or file) between plays?

I know VLC always asks if you want to resume your last place in a song or video, but I don't know about playlists (I don't use playlists much, I usually manually copy all the songs I want to a folder)

Well I think that you can achieve that with MPV with using the save-position-on-quit in mpv.conf or using Shift+q when exiting the Video this does the job for me. Also you can search for a lua script that might be more useful like some of those:

I never have used them myself tough.
